Food and Architecture

A friday inter studio event entitled Food and Architecture lead to a carrot lodge being made using a series of mortise and tenon joints. We won first prize, which was a bag of exotic jelly beans!!!!

During my journey through Denmark I attempted to draw my studio group including my tutors. I have tried to capture each of there characteristics with as few a lines as possible.

In order to capture what I was trying to discuss within my thesis entitled "Gathering Around Light" I attempted to create a SHORT film. The plan is that it becomes part of a larger collection of short films that can be presented at the end of the year.

A "Primitive" Container

After reading a passage of text entitled "The Primitive" we were asked to make a response in the form of a container.

A container of light and heat.

“‘The night gains an incredible value in that it erases space. The fire invents light and heat, and through this light the darkness gains new importance; it creates the story it entertains. The fire invents a room where there is light. The fire is the producer of space, and in the shadow, mystery is born.”

Stone Henge

"In pursuit of inspiration a sojourn to Stone Henge 27.09.11"

The stones were under watchful eyes of the starlings, which patrolled the sky every 10 minutes, returning to the safety of the stones after every patrol.
